Mel's the character I'm submitting to Kilojara'sColosseum. When first directed toward the Colosseum I was going to use a pre-existing character of mine, such as someone from Parallel Dementia or Glockenspiel. But most PD characters are too dark to have fun with in this setting, and Glockenspiel's so weird a setting it'd be hard to adapt a character from it.
Anyway, would up making Melody up on the spot just for this. Brainstorming with my friend Meaningless Mage we decided on making related characters with a rivalry rather than as a tag-team. Look out for her cousin Opus Fasola. Even if Mel and Opus never have to fight in this tournament (assuming we both get in) you'll probably be seeing some Spectator Entries from Mage and I involving them both.
Now, Mel's "powers" are explained in the sheet. But there wasn't room to fit a little more on her, for those interested.
EDIT: Mel's no full cyborg but her spine has been completely replaced by a robotic version, and there are small motorized bionics in her leg joints. This allows her to support the extreme weight of the amp-pack and grants above-average strength in both the legs and back.
ANOTHER EDIT: I hear that it's best to mention if we're okay with our character being killed in the profile. So I want to state that my opponent may kill Mel if they so see fit, though I'd prefer it to not be some pointless death. Mel was made specifically for this setting. Her story ending with this setting only makes sense.
Past: Mel's from the Fasola family. A family with a rich heritage in musical arts dating back hundreds of years. In modern times, the family began to stray from its classical roots for a style of music that would appeal to younger generations. Mel may have gone too far in that direction, or doesn't have the manager skills to match her musical skills, but her legacy has thus far been a failure and the Fasola family name has taken a beating and faded into obscurity in part because of this. Mel blames herself, and has spent the last few years unaided by her family, trying to gain recognition as a rock star.
Personality: As far as puck-rock girls go, Mel's fairly no-nonsense, though she does have a comical/ immature side and enjoys herself when playing the guitar. She's fought before (a strange training in the Fasola family...) but never taken a life. If she can help it, she'll never kill her opponent in the ring.
You focus so throughly on Opus little do you realize that Afro and Spaz will destroy you! Yes... then afterwards they'll run around with your little gauntlet going "Lookit me I'm That Guy from "The Wizard!""
IT'S DOCTOR OCTOPUS!!! IF HE WAS A GIRL!!! AND HIS ARMS WERE SPEAKERS!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
...I'm done. Love all the possible puns. A good "thrashing" with her "axe" could mean so many different things. Okay 2 that I know of but that isn't the point.
I'm a very punny person.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

"How 'bout you, son"
and he pulled out his gun.
