Burn

Hey guys.

As some of you know, I’m a freelance artist by trade. It’s a hard profession for me to keep up while also running a webcomic. Throw a family crisis into it and as things are, I can barely afford to update this comic once a week. That’s not to say Derelict is in danger of falling apart thanks to financial issues yet, but if it could turn a bit of a profit it would make working on this comic a lot less stressful.

The only reason I can’t update Derelict more than once a week (and why even then I am sometimes late) is because I need to do freelance art for a living. Book 1 is wrapping up in the next few months, and I plan on starting a kickstarter to get it printed. Until then though, I’ve put up a new $1+ donation desktop that I think came out pretty badass. I know $1 doesn’t sound like a lot but if enough people got it, that could help a lot. You can pick it up on Paypal or using a card on Gumroad.

Of course if you don’t have change to spare yourself you can still help by whitelisting Derelict on your ad blockers. Even that could help quite a bit if enough people do it. I know the internet is crowded with terrible ads so in exchange for people considering whitelisting Derelict, I will be happy to monitor my ads. By all means, screencap an ad that makes sound or opens a popup window, and I’ll get it removed from Derelict.
